Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What is the U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner designed for?

Answer: The U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner is designed specifically for inground swimming pools, effectively removing dirt, debris, and algae from the pool floor and walls. This automatic vacuum operates using your pool's existing filtration system, making it an efficient choice for maintaining a clean and inviting swimming environment. With its suction-side functionality, it is ideal for pools that require thorough cleaning, as it can navigate various surfaces and angles easily.
  • Question: How does the suction mechanism work in this pool cleaner?

Answer: The suction mechanism in the U.S. Pool Supply Cleaner relies on your pool's filtration system to create a vacuum effect. When the cleaner is connected with a hose to your pool’s skimmer or dedicated suction line, it utilizes water flow to generate suction that draws in debris and dirt. This design allows the device to automatically traverse the pool, providing comprehensive coverage of the pool area and ensuring no spot is left uncleaned, making it an efficient cleaning tool.
  • Question: Is the pool cleaner suitable for all types of inground pools?

Answer: Yes, the U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner is suitable for most types of inground pools, including concrete, vinyl, and fiberglass. Its versatile design allows it to adapt to different surfaces, ensuring effective cleaning whether your pool has a smooth finish or is more textured. This makes it a flexible choice for homeowners looking to maintain their respective pool types in a hassle-free manner.
  • Question: What accessories come with the U.S. Pool Supply pool cleaner?

Answer: The U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner typically comes with a hose that connects the cleaner to the pool's suction line, along with connection fittings for easy setup. Some models may also include additional debris capturing components to enhance its performance. Having these accessories means you have everything needed to get started with effective pool cleaning right out of the box, simplifying the initial setup process.
  • Question: How long does it take to clean an average sized pool?

Answer: The cleaning time for an average-sized inground pool using the U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner can vary based on factors like debris level and pool shape. Generally, it may take several hours to thoroughly clean the entire area, but many users find that scheduling it to run during the day or overnight fits seamlessly into their routine. This allows for a consistently clean pool without the manual effort required in traditional cleaning methods.
  • Question: How do I maintain the suction pool cleaner for optimal performance?

Answer: To maintain your U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner, regularly check and clean the filter or bag to prevent clogs. Inspect the hose for any signs of wear or leaks, as this can affect suction efficiency. Periodically rinsing the cleaner and using a soft brush to remove debris buildup will also keep it in optimal condition. By ensuring that these elements are cared for, users can enjoy the best performance and longevity from their automatic cleaner.
  • Question: Can this pool cleaner climb walls or stairs?

Answer: The U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner is primarily designed for cleaning the pool floor and may have limited wall-climbing ability. While some users report it can maneuver up shallow inclines, it may not perform effectively on steeper walls or stairs. For pool shapes that feature varying depths, this cleaner excels in maintaining cleanliness on the flat surfaces while providing reasonable coverage on gentler slopes or inclines.
  • Question: Is this suction pool cleaner energy efficient?

Answer: Yes, the U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner is designed to be energy efficient as it utilizes the existing pool filtration system for power without needing an additional energy source. This not only saves electricity but also reduces operational costs over time, making it an eco-friendly option. Users can run it during regular circulation hours, capitalizing on existing energy use without incurring extra expenses.
  • Question: What types of debris can the cleaner effectively remove?

Answer: The U.S. Pool Supply Professional Suction Pool Cleaner is adept at removing various forms of pool debris, including leaves, twigs, dirt, sand, and algae. Due to its efficient suction mechanism, it effectively captures both large and small debris particles. This capability allows you to keep your pool looking pristine and helps maintain overall water clarity and quality, making it suitable for different climate conditions and pool environments.
