Arctic Silver Silicon Grease Editorial Review
The Artic Silver AS5-12G Silver Thermal Compound is a highly effective thermal paste, perfect for use on machined surfaces like CPU and GPU chips. It has a temperature range of -50°C to 180°C and can provide 3 to 12 degrees Celsius lower CPU full load core temperatures than standard thermal compounds or thermal pads. The 12g syringe contains enough compound to cover at least 15 to 25 small CPU cores, or 6 to 10 large CPU cores, or 2 to 5 heat plates. Although it is not electrically conductive, it is best to keep it away from electrical contacts to avoid overspread. The product is silver in color, and its concentration is under 5%, which acts as a heat transfer metal from copper to copper in GPU setups.
