Ken-Tool Tire Repair Tools Editorial Review
The Ken-Tool 34549 Dual Wheel Separator is a highly recommended tool for removing stuck, rusted-on dually wheels. It works effectively on light-duty vehicles and has been successful in removing dual rear wheels from trucks such as the F-350. The tool can be used to remove both the stuck outer wheel and the inner wheel, but extra caution is needed when removing the inner wheel to prevent any damage to brake drums or rotors. While some customers have expressed disappointment with the tool, citing issues with shredded threads, the majority of reviews are positive. Many users have praised the tool as a lifesaver, saving them time and frustration when dealing with stuck dually wheels. The tool is especially effective when used in conjunction with a penetrating lubricant, making it easier to separate corroded wheels. One reviewer noted that the Ken-Tool Dual Wheel Separator worked perfectly for removing their F-350's dual rear wheels after 18 years. The tool left only minimal damage to the outer aluminum rim and made the removal process much easier. Another reviewer mentioned that the tool was essential for removing stuck wheels on their Ram Dually, which had been affected by road salts and rust. Overall, the Ken-Tool 34549 Dual Wheel Separator is highly recommended for anyone dealing with stuck dually wheels. It is a high-quality tool that can save time and effort when removing wheels that have been stuck due to corrosion or rust.
