D'Addario's commitment to excellence is evident in their rich history.

From their humble beginnings in Lynbrook, NY with just five employees, they have grown exponentially by consistently delivering top-notch products. In fact, they even acquired the renowned Kaplan Music String Company, further solidifying their position in the market. What sets D'Addario apart is their philosophy of doing "as much in-house as possible." By keeping their operations in-house, they can control every aspect of their products to ensure the highest quality.

From printing operations to packaging design, D'Addario's attention to detail shines through. The secret to the durability and longevity of D'Addario strings lies in their innovative packaging. Each string is sealed in a special polymer bag that effectively blocks light and air, preventing string deterioration for an extended period.

With D'Addario, you can trust that your strings will maintain accurate pitches and tones, thanks to their sharp computer control. The 80/20 bronze composition of these strings harkens back to the traditional acoustic strings of the 1930s. As pioneers in the industry, D'Addario adopted this alloy that combines copper and tin in an 80:20 ratio, resulting in a balanced tone and exceptional sound quality.

It's no wonder that the 80/20 bronze round wound strings remain a popular choice among guitar players worldwide. Choose from various gauge variations to find the perfect fit for your playing style. Whether you prefer the Extra Light gauge for effortless strumming or the Medium gauge for a fuller sound, D'Addario has you covered.
