Outdoor Research Bivy Bags Editorial Review
Outdoor Research Helium Bivy is an ultralight hooped bivy designed for 4-season camping and hiking, suitable for a single person. Weighing only 600 grams, it provides compact space for one, ensuring protection against wind and rain while being small enough to fit in a running pack. While many users appreciate its lightweight design and breathable fabric, experiences vary regarding its waterproof capabilities. Some reviewers note moisture ingress during rain, highlighting the need for careful setup to avoid water inside. Despite this, many find it excellent for wild camping, especially for those looking for a survival bag rather than a comfort option.
